Greetings to all

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2009, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great (not to imply that Great Britain is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

Thanks so much to all who attended the party. Thank you also for the lovely gifts, but mainly thanks for being there and make the evening so enjoyable for Tony and I. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Hugs to all

Just a little message to say Hi. I have been out of it for a while now, although I have responded to a couple of posts.

I am going to try and keep up this time. No promises thought :-)

For those of you who normally attend our firework bash, it has been cancelled this year. The weekend that it would have been would have been my parents Golden Wedding. Dad still wants to celebrate so we are having a family meal in Glasgow.

Starting to get round to doing stuff again after losing Mum, so might actually have something to tell you next time

Just having a break from sorting out other peoples issues. So I started to think about holidays.

I first started going abroad when I was around 18 ( a LONG time ago)
Then holidays were all about going to pub and disco at night (night club to you young uns:)until the wee small hours. Sleeping until lunch time and then sun bathing until it was time to go to the pub again.

When I met Steve and we started going on holiday with Kate and Malcolm it was about going to places that we actually wanted to see. Looking at old churches and buildings and museums and so on. So the day was breakfast, sightseeing, lunch and more sightseeing then going out for a meal in the evening. Maybe an odd day staying at home reading

Now it seems to be about finding a nice house with a pool and spending most of the time lazing around the pool reading. Maybe go and do some sightseeing if there is something near and we can be bothered. Maybe go out for a meal in the evening.

What I realise most is how much more I look forward to my holiday now than ever before.
